Nach klassischem Verständnis sind Farbe und Form getrennte Mittel der Gestaltung. Für Raimer Jochims sind sie jedoch untrennbar. Die Form entsteht aus der Farbe, und die Farbe entfaltet sich nur in einer bestimmten Form voll. In den ausgestellten zarten Zeichnungen untersucht er diesen Zusammenhang anhand von Pflanzen. Fällt Farbe und Form zusammen, erkennt der Betrachter dies und erlebt ein Gefühl der Identität. Diese Erfahrung ist für Jochims auf der ganzen Welt gleich. Jochims‘ Kunst liest sich somit als exemplarisches Plädoyer für Einheit und Zusammenhang, gegen das Auseinanderfallen von Sphären.

According to traditional understanding, colour and form are separate means of design. For Raimer Jochims, however, they are inseparable. Form arises from colour, and colour only unfolds fully in a certain form. In the delicate drawings on display, he explores this connection using plants as an example. When colour and form coincide, the viewer recognises this and experiences a sense of identity. For Jochims, this experience is the same all over the world. Jochims' art can thus be read as an exemplary plea for unity and connection, against the disintegration of spheres.
