Für den dänischen Künstler und promovierten Geologen Per Kirkeby war Landschaft eines der zentralen Themen. In ihr schreibt sich über Jahrtausende hinweg nicht nur Erdgeschichte ein, sondern sie ist auch Erfahrungsraum und Speicher persönlicher Erinnerungen und Emotionen. Diese Verbindung zeigt sich in der Serie Vibeke, betitelt nach seiner zweiten Frau: Landschaft wird zu Körper, Körper zur Landschaft. Natur lässt sich damit als fundamentale Ressource verstehen, mit der wir als Menschen existentiell verbunden sind.
Die zweite Arbeit (ohne Titel) zeigt ebenfalls eine Landschaft in dem für Kirkeby typischen, abstrahierenden Stil. Sie stammt aus einer 1996 für die C&L Deutsche Revision AG produzierten Grafik-Sonderedition der Städelschule.

Landscape was one of the central themes for Danish artist and geologist Per Kirkeby. Over thousands of years, it has not only recorded the history of the Earth, but has also become a space for experiences and a repository for personal memories and emotions. This connection is evident in the series Vibeke, named after his second wife: landscape becomes body, body becomes landscape. Nature can thus be understood as a fundamental resource to which we as humans are existentially connected.
The second work (untitled) also shows a landscape in Kirkeby's typical abstract style. It comes from a special edition of graphics produced by the Städelschule in 1996 for C&L Deutsche Revision AG.
